Seventy-five minutes into The 67th Annual Golden Globes and the awards are flowing. Mo'Nique took home the first award for her Best Supporting Actress role in Precious: Based On The Novel 'Push' By Sapphire. Mo'Nique plays an abusive welfare mother - very different from her comedic roles in the past. Her speech was very moving and had me teary-eyed - all within the first three minutes of the show.Michael Giacchino deservedly won for Best Original Score for the film, Up - which also took home Best Animated Feature Film.
Meryl Streep just won Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for her role in Julie and Julia. She was nominated twice in this category, also for her role in It's Complicated. Such a classic woman, Meryl graced us with a loving speech - I could listen to that woman talk all day.
I was hoping she would win for best supporting ac - she was unbelievable in this role! Have you seen the film?
