It was announced yesterday that Conan O'Brien is returning to TV in November with a new late-night talk show. The network? FOX? CBS? Surprisingly, the answer isn't any of the aforementioned, but is in fact, TBS.All together now - what the eff? Seriously? In the evenings, the cable TV channel owned by Time Warner, airs mostly old-school movies from the '90s, and as much as I love watching reruns of King of Queens, Seinfeld, and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I'm seriously surprised this is the route he chose to take.
Oh well - TBS will be ecstatic for the ratings he'll bring them, even though they won't come close to the ratings he received on his short-lived stint as host of NBC's The Tonight Show. However, he'll be a big help to the TBS brand, and I wish him the best.
If you're a big fan of Conan and can't wait to see him on TV until November - you're in luck. He just started his nationwide comedy tour called, The Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour, and will be in Vancouver tonight. For other tour dates, check out teamcoco.com.
